Women’s Golf Association Tees Off Against Cancer
Every year since 2022, the Women’s Golf Association at Valleybrook Country Club, part of the Ron Jaworski Golf family, has hosted a summery fundraising golf series for a good cause. The season spans two months, with 9-hole round and “learn and play” clinic options available on a weekly basis. The sessions are full of fun, empowerment, and great golf!
The VWGA’s efforts are inspired by gratitude felt by the Jaworski family for care received at Virtua Health, with proceeds benefiting Virtua’s Mobile Health & Cancer Screening Unit. Liz Jaworski, Chief Leadership Officer for Ron Jaworski Golf, explains that she is “forever grateful to Virtua,” and that “the experience of a Breast Cancer diagnosis is difficult. It makes you stronger, more loving and thinking clearer. And it pushes you to surround yourself with people who will give you the best care and treatment possible. That is exactly what Virtua gave to me.”
We are so grateful to the membership of the Valleybrook Women’s Golf Association and the leadership of everyone at Ron Jaworski Golf. Cancer screenings save lives: they are truly making a tee-riffic difference for our community!
