Virtua’s Pediatric Mobile Services program provides year-round health screenings and other relevant care for children across Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties.
Through a generous $1 million gift from the Joseph Lacroce Foundation, in 2018 Virtua launched a Pediatric Mobile Services program to address the health and wellness needs of children in South Jersey. As the depth of services offered has grown, so has community need. In response, Virtua expanded the program with the launch of a second vehicle in June 2024. This expansion was made possible thanks to a second, equally generous, gift from the Joseph Lacroce Foundation and many other philanthropic partners who have supported the highly impactful program.
Our experienced team of child specialists bring pediatric services directly to children (infant to age six) who live throughout Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties, reaching more than 13,000 children per year.
Featured Services:
- Annual health screenings
- Asthma education, including “Kickin’ Asthma” classes
- Dental screenings, fluoride treatments, and oral health education

The Pediatric Mobile Services program equips parents or guardians of the children we serve with the knowledge and resources they need to help their children grow and thrive. Additionally, the program engages the community in non-clinical ways, providing diapers, wipes, formula, books, blankets, clothing, snacks, and toys—all thanks to the generosity of donors.
Recognized for Community Impact
In 2023, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion recognized Virtua Health as Healthy People 2030 Champion for its innovative mobile community health programs.
Notes of Gratitude
“As a mother, I can say wholeheartedly that Virtua’s commitment to early intervention has blessed my family not once, but twice. We are deeply grateful for Virtua’s dedication not only to the patients within their hospitals, but also to the children and families throughout the communities they serve.”
