Tremendous need exists in the medically underserved areas across our region, and our youngest residents, children under the age of five, often quietly suffer the most.
Through a generous $1 million gift from the Joseph Lacroce Foundation, in 2018 Virtua launched a Pediatric Mobile Services program to address the health and wellness needs of children across South Jersey.
Our experienced team of child specialists bring pediatric services directly to those children (infant to age six) who are living in medically underserved and impoverished urban and rural communities across Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties.
Featured Services:
- Developmental screenings
- Oral health education and dental screenings
- Flu vaccinations
- COVID-19 education and vaccinations
- Lead blood level screenings
- Lead education for healthy homes
- Back-to-school and sports physicals
- Vision and hearing screenings
- Community resources
- Referrals to specialized services
The Pediatric Mobile Services program equips parents or guardians of the children we serve with the knowledge and resources they need to help their children grow and thrive. Additionally, the program engages the community in non-clinical ways, providing diapers, wipes, formula, books, blankets, clothing, snacks, and toys—all thanks to the generosity of donors.
Notes of Gratitude
“I am so thankful for the Pediatric Mobile team and the help they provided us. Being able to get these screenings for my son has been so helpful and the staff was so caring and made the experience fun.”
