Joseph Lacroce Foundation

Driven to Care for Kids

The Joseph Lacroce Foundation (formerly Carz N’ Toyz) has supported the children Virtua serves for many years, making significant gifts to ensure that our care teams have the resources and facilities needed to provide the best care for all children in our community. Their generosity has enhanced the Pediatric Pavilion at Virtua Mount Holly Hospital, created a Family Lounge in the lobby of the Marvin Samson Foundation Pediatrics Unit at Virtua Voorhees Hospital, and more.

And every December since 2011, with a large group of volunteers, many of whom are driving classic and collector cars, Joseph Lacroce Foundation delivers a literal truckload of toys, books, bikes, games, and car seats to be distributed across Virtua hospitals and outpatient facilities that serve children during the holidays and throughout the year.

In December 2016, this group of caring car enthusiasts made a transformational gift to the children of Virtua, pledging $1 million to establish a Pediatric Mobile Services program to address the health needs of local children. Launched in the spring of 2018, Pediatric Mobile Services provides important developmental and health screenings, vaccinations, physicals, lead testing, dental, hearing, and vision screenings, and more to thousands of children in just a handful of years. As the depth of services offered has grown, so has community need. In response, the Joseph Lacroce Foundation recently made another $1 million pledge, which will enabled Virtua to launch a second mobile-health van in June 2024 and further improve access to vital screenings and services for children.

Our gratitude is as large as their trucks full of toys!
