Bringing Christmas in July to Kids at Virtua
Rolling Badges Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club brings together current and retired law enforcement officers, firefighters, first responders and military personnel for camaraderie, riding, and making a difference in the community.
Since 2019, Rolling Badges LEMC has brought “Christmas in July” to Virtua, coordinating an annual summertime toy drop-off that is truly something to behold. Each year they bring a huge quantity of toys, games, craft activities, books and more to support Virtua’s Child Life program; they also fill our Pediatric Mobile Services unit with cases of diapers and wipes, which are in turn provided to families in need by our Pediatric Mobile staff.
These generous gifts make such a difference for our staff and patients. We are full of gratitude, and we always enjoy experiencing the excitement of hundreds of motorcycles roaring up the hospital driveway, followed by Santa who, sporting his tropical attire, climbs out of his Jeep and waves to the kids each year.
