Give for Good

Virtua’s Colleague Giving Campaign

“Give for Good is a special way to demonstrate the collective power of our philanthropy throughout the year. When we contribute as individuals—each doing our small part—together we can make an impact that brings remarkable benefit to our patients, community, and each other!” — Dennis W. Pullin, FACHE, President and CEO

Your Generosity Matters at Virtua

Through Give for Good, Virtua colleagues have the opportunity to make a remarkable difference for each other, our patients, and the community we serve. Even when we feel that our individual gifts are small, when we join together our collective impact is vast. Together through philanthropy, we create change and improve lives every day by:

  • Supporting and uplifting each other through the Colleague Care Fund.
  • Reducing financial barriers for Virtua nurses and nursing students continuing their education.
  • Ensuring that our community – including our colleagues – has access to fresh, healthy, and affordable foods.
  • …and so much more!

Give for Good is a vital part of how we ensure that our colleagues and community can be well, get well, and stay well. It’s our culture – the Culture of WE. We are caring colleagues, Here for Good. And, together WE make a difference!

Why Colleague Giving Matters

Yulia Moncayo, RN
ICU at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital

“I am where I am today because of the opportunities that the kindness of others has provided. Generous scholarship support for students at Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing gave me peace of mind knowing I could focus on learning instead of worrying about whether I could afford my education or having to pick up extra shifts that would cause me to miss precious time with my son. Without this support, I wouldn’t have the privilege of working alongside so many dedicated professionals who help to improve lives every day.”

Why Colleague Giving Matters

Craig Turner, DO, FACOEP
Director, Emergency Medicine at Virtua Marlton Hospital

“As an emergency medicine physician, I often see patients in the ER at their most distressed moments, and see firsthand their suffering and loss. It is my privilege to provide compassionate care to help them through a most difficult time. The support that Virtua provides to our communities and the services to those communities at risk are unparalleled. I am proud to be a philanthropic supporter of Virtua as well as a Virtua Health Foundation trustee. Knowing we are making a positive impact on those in need is extremely rewarding.”

Why Colleague Giving Matters

Tiffany Lockett, CAVS, CVA
Director, Volunteer Services, Spiritual Care & Retail Operations

“Virtua’s Give for Good campaign gives me the opportunity to lend a hand when colleagues need a little extra support. I have daily interaction with people inside of the organization and throughout the community, and it amazes me how many individuals speak about the kindness and generosity of people in Virtua. That says a lot! It’s wonderful to be a part of an organization that cares not only about the community it serves but colleagues as well.”
