Virtua Health Gala

An inspiring evening celebrating the power of philanthropy!

Save the Date! The 2024 Virtua Health Gala will be held on Saturday, November 2, at the Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa.

Celebrating Gratitude

On Saturday, November 4, 2023, we gathered together with nearly 800 guests at our annual black-tie celebration. Held at the Borgata in Atlantic City, the 2023 Virtua Health Gala was an uplifting evening in celebration of our sponsors and all of our generous donors. We are deeply grateful for all of our philanthropic partners, sponsors, and friends, whose support is helping us build a healthier South Jersey. Your kindness is inspiring, and your support propels our mission forward!

Evening Highlights

Thanks to the support of many generous donors, including this year’s presenting sponsor Bob & Donna Platzer and Family of Town Square Real Estate, proceeds from the event will support and enhance Virtua’s innovative and highly impactful Eat Well Food Access Program. We are grateful to all of our philanthropic partners whose kindness is helping us feed our neighbors across South Jersey.

We were pleased to honor two extraordinary individuals for their leadership and dedication to making the world a better place:

  • Geoff Martha, Chairman and CEO of Medtronic, was named Virtua’s 2023 Humanitarian Award for his remarkable commitment to improving the health and well-being of people in South Jersey and around the world.
  • George F. Lynn, Virtua Health Trustee, was presented with a Distinguished Service Award for his long-standing leadership, vision, and commitment to building a healthier future for all New Jersey residents.

About the Beneficiary

Proceeds from the 2023 Virtua Health Gala benefited our Eat Well Food Access Programs, which bring fresh, healthy food to underserved communities in southern New Jersey.

With the help of our philanthropic partners, Virtua’s food access program has made a significant impact on the lives of thousands of families in our community. Since 2017, our Eat Well Mobile Farmers Market, Eat Well Food Pharmacies, and our new Eat Well Mobile Grocery Store have become trusted resources that our community and patients have come to rely on. Together, we are working to ensure that our neighbors, regardless of what zip code they call home, have access to the fresh, healthy, and affordable foods they deserve.
