The 2022 Virtua Health Gala was held on Saturday, June 4 at the Borgata Hotel, Casino and Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey. It was an inspiring and uplifting evening in celebration of our donors and our commitment to be Here for Good.
Thanks to the support of many generous donors, including presenting sponsor Bob & Donna Platzer and Family of Town Square Real Estate, more than $500,000 in proceeds from the event will go to support the expansion of Virtua’s Eat Well food access programs. We are grateful to all of our philanthropic partners and event sponsors whose generous commitment will help us feed our neighbors across South Jersey!
We were pleased to present Senator Troy Singleton with Virtua’s 2022 Humanitarian Award for his remarkable commitment to the health and well-being of New Jersey residents. During the program, a first-of-its-kind Voice for Good Award was presented to ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith for his selfless advocacy and support of health care workers during the pandemic.

With the help of our philanthropic partners, Virtua’s food access program has made a significant impact on the lives of thousands of families in our community. Since 2017, our Eat Well Mobile Farmers Market, Eat Well Food Pharmacies, and our new Eat Well Mobile Grocery Store have become trusted resources that our community and patients have come to rely on. Together, we are working to ensure that our neighbors, regardless of what zip code they call home, have access to the fresh, healthy, and affordable foods they deserve.Learn More
