We are pleased to honor Senator Troy Singleton with Virtua Health’s 2022 Humanitarian Award for his remarkable commitment to the health and well-being of New Jersey residents.
Senator Singleton has devoted himself to public service and has demonstrated a deep commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our diverse communities. As an advocate for the people of New Jersey, Senator Singleton has been a champion on many important health care issues, including improving access to healthy and affordable food for those in need, spreading awareness to reduce COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy, and protecting health care workers from acts of violence. As a public servant, he has also demonstrated a strong commitment to community service and has hosted monthly volunteer events encouraging hundreds of others to join him. His efforts will have a lasting impact for people across New Jersey for years to come!
About the Beneficiary
Proceeds from the 2022 Virtua Health Gala will benefit our Eat Well Food Access Programs, which bring fresh, healthy food to underserved communities in southern New Jersey.
With the help of our philanthropic partners, Virtua’s food access program has made a significant impact on the lives of thousands of families in our community. Since 2017, our Eat Well Mobile Farmers Market, Eat Well Food Pharmacies, and our new Eat Well Mobile Grocery Store have become trusted resources that our community and patients have come to rely on. But, we still have more to do! Together, we can ensure our neighbors, regardless of what zip code they call home, have access to the fresh, healthy, and affordable foods they deserve.Learn More
