OR Nurse Immersion Program

Join Us for Virtua’s Operating Room Nurse Immersion Program

Life in the operating room tends to move quickly. During this 8-week program, participants will be trained in both the mindset and the necessary sterile techniques used in perioperative care, setting you up for success. The training is based on the AORN™ PeriOp 101 curriculum, skills, and knowledge framework, offering comprehensive instruction along the way.

Course Details

  • Schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for eight consecutive weeks beginning March 2, 2026, and ending April 21, 2026.

Important Information

Students must pre-pay for classes in full via credit card or purchase order. No seats will be reserved without full payment. Available seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration must be received at least 5 business days prior to the course start date. Contact information is: VirtuaORNurseImmersion@virtua.org

No refunds or credits will be issued for incomplete coursework, failures, or absences. 

A full refund, if applicable, will only be permitted for cancellations 30 days before the start of the program. Any course cancelled less than 30 days before the start of the program up to 7 days before the program will receive a 75% refund. Any cancellation less than 7 days before the start of the program will receive a 50% refund.

Virtua reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course due to unforeseen circumstances (like inclement weather) at any time. If applicable, a full refund will be issued for course cancelations.

To successfully complete this program and receive continuing education credit, student must attend at least 95% of educational program.
