Sunshine Award Nomination

The Sunshine Award recognizes extraordinary non-nursing care team members at Virtua Mount Holly Hospital, including patient care technicians and other vital team members. While the DAISY Award recognizes nurses, the Sunshine Award recognizes the care team that supports our nursing staff and works closely with them to provide patients with compassionate care. Sunshine Award nominees brighten the days of patients in their roles in vital services. Any non-nursing or ancillary support position can be nominated, including associates in transport, respiratory care, environmental services, nutrition services, patient care technician roles, and more.

Sunshine Award Criteria

• Having a kind and positive attitude that helps brighten the care environment for patients, families and colleagues.
• Working as an essential part of the team to provide excellent care.
• Always going above and beyond to help.
• Demonstrating outstanding communication and decision-making skills.
• Serving as a positive role model.
• Creating exceptional experiences for others.

Sunshine Awards are presented quarterly. Honorees are recognized at a small ceremony and will receive flowers, a snack, a pin and a Sunshine Award certificate acknowledging their outstanding service to our patients and our community.
