Virtua and Lourdes Celebrate Two-gether at 2020 Gala Honoring Sister Pat Codey

March 7, 2020

The Virtua Health Gala 2020, held in early March at the Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa, was a celebration of Virtua and Lourdes coming together to demonstrate its shared commitment to supporting the community.

During the event, Sister Patricia Codey, SC, Esq., was recognized with Virtua Health’s annual Humanitarian Award for her lifelong commitment to improving the health and wellness of New Jersey residents.

Thanks to the support of many generous philanthropic partners, including presenting sponsor PJW Restaurant Group, a total of $600,000 in proceeds will go to support the expansion of Virtua Health’s food access program.

During the program, Virtua Health’s President and CEO Dennis Pullin announced the health system’s plans to transform a city bus into a full-service mobile grocery store. The innovative new service, which aims to address food insecurity for community members across Burlington and Camden counties, will be funded through philanthropic support.
