Virtua Health proudly offers our patients and community the opportunity to share their gratitude by nominating their nurses, patient care technicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the care team for prestigious awards, recognizing the excellent care they provide and the difference they make.

DAISY Award for Nurses

The DAISY Award recognizes extraordinary nurses for the compassionate contributions they make every day, going above and beyond expectations in science and sensitivity. Virtua presents one of our nurses with this international award in a special ceremony each month.

Helping Hand Award for Patient Care Technicians

The Helping Hand Award recognizes patient care technicians (PCTs) who consistently demonstrate excellence by providing an outstanding experience for our patients, engaging in exceptional teamwork and serving as a role model to all colleagues. Virtua presents this special award at a quarterly ceremony.

PHIL Award for Respiratory Therapists

The PHIL Award recognizes outstanding Respiratory Therapists who provide exemplary care and treatment for patients with respiratory and pulmonary illnesses. It is the only nationwide program that honors Respiratory Therapists. Virtua presents this award at a special ceremony on an annual basis.

Sunshine Award for Virtua Mount Holly Team Members

The Sunshine Award recognizes extraordinary non-nursing and non-physician care team members at Virtua Mount Holly Hospital, celebrating the way that these colleagues brighten the days of patients with care and compassion. Nominees may be from any ancillary service, including transport, respiratory care, environmental services, nutrition, and more. This special award is presented quarterly.
